Founded in 2005, Elko Energy is an independent private company active in oil and gas exploration and development in offshore Denmark and the Netherlands. The company is incorporated in Toronto, Canada.
Since incorporation, Elko has been in a phase of rapid development with the Management team demonstrating their capabilities in gaining access to assets that have the potential to grow the Company substantially, as well as providing stable and profitable future growth opportunities.
It is the Management team’s ambition to be a leading independent exploration and production company focused on efficiently transforming resources to reserves whilst maximising returns for shareholders

- Ready prospects for drilling in 2010
- Continue to test reserve potential of the license and continue farm out discussions

License Summary:
Block P1
- Located on southern margin of Southern Permian Gas basin and covers approximately 209 sq km (51,623 acres)
- Awarded 27th June 2007
- Eight wells have been drilled on the license of which five encountered gas on two discoveries
- The block is currently under appraisal for development
Block P2
- Awarded 21st February 2008
- Block is immediately adjacent to P1 and covers approximately 416 sq km (102,752 acres)
- Entire block is covered by 3-D seismic
- Nine wells drilled by previous operators, with five structures, two of which have been partially produced
- Several undrilled structures have been mapped with both oil and gas potential
- The block is currently under appraisal for development
Aims, proposed work program:
- Drill and test first appraisal / development well in 2010
- Prepare field development plan in 2010
- Approval of field development plan by mid 2011
- Produce commercial gas from first development in 2013
