Company Statement

Red Sky Energy Limited (ASX code ROG) has been rejuvenated as a coal seam gas company. Over the July to October 2009 period Red Sky has acquired significant acreage holdings across a number of basins. This includes the acquisition of Cydonia Resources, Norwest Hydrocarbons and Surat Resources with substantive positions in Queensland and NSW, as well as a farm-in to Central Petroleum’s extensive acreage in the Northern Territory. Red Sky also has new management in place. Rohan Gillespie has joined as Managing Director with previous experience as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in charge of BHP Billiton’s coal seam gas business. Gerrit de Nys has joined as Chairman, bringing to the Company extensive business building skills and contacts.

Red Sky aims to become a major player in coal seam gas in Australia. 

Operations and Technology

Surat Basin in Queensland
The company has a right to earn 100% interest in two Petroleum Exploration Licenses located in the prospective Surat Basin. The basin supports the emergence of LNG in Queensland.

ATP 840 and 904. Area ~ 1700km2.

Surat and Eromanga and Darling Basins in New South Wales
The company has a 100% interest in 19 Petroleum Exploration Licenses located in the prospective Surat and Eromanga Basins. 

PEL 447, 448, 449, 465, 466, 467  PELA 87, 90, 91, 94, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125. Area ~ 175,000km2.

Pedirka and Amadeus and South Georgina Basins in the Northern Territory and Queensland
The company has a right to earn 10% interest in 29 Petroleum Exploration Licenses located in the prospective Pedirka and Amadeus Basins.
