Wary of prowling H&S officers taking a dim view of the packed conference rooms of a typical oilbarrel.com event, the 29th conference had a slightly different structure. The October event saw oilbarrel.com take over three large rooms at our usual venue, The Brewery in EC1: one for coffee and networking, one for the actual presentations and one overspill room with a live video link of the action upstairs. The new set-up worked well, with delegates having rather more space to mingle at coffee and lunch.
Delegates may have enjoyed more room to manoeuvre but the presentation slots were packed, with seven companies selling their stories over the course of the morning.
Brian Hall, executive chairman of Aminex plc, was making his third appearance at an oilbarrel.com event. These are exciting times for the London-listed E&P as the coming months could will see it test the potential of a number of potentially company-making assets.
