Victoria Petroleum Headlines Its CSG Credentials And Continues To Make Real Progress With Its Oil Exploration In The Cooper Basin

For a signal of how far Victoria Petroleum has travelled over the past two years, one need only note how the ASX-listed firm describes itself on its website. Previously Vic Pet was a pure E&P; now it describes its principal activity as “coal seam gas development and oil exploration and production”.

This demonstrates how the company’s legacy coal seam gas assets in Queensland have moved to the top of the corporate agenda.  This started in 2007 as Vic Pet noted the surging share prices of CSG companies on the ASX while its own oil exploration and production efforts in the Cooper Basin went unrecognised in the market.
