Leni Gas & Oil Ends 2008 With Some Upbeat News On Its Output from Its Low Risk projects in Spain, Trinidad and the US



When David Lenigas, who amongst other things is chairman of the new look Lonrho, started his latest hydrocarbon venture, the unconventional but, in the circumstances, appropriately named Leni Gas and Oil (most companies are called, Oil and Gas, but he decided to stick with a play on his surname) eyebrows were raised about the choice of one of his first projects.

Brian said Leni Gas would eschew high risk frontier exploration but go for low risk projects which offered production or near term production – which he would seek to upgrade through fresh investment and secondary recovery techniques. An early investment was the Ayoluengo oilfield in northern Spain.
